Dear Shoe Girls: I Found Us a Pair

If you’ve seen any of my styling videos or pictures, you already know I love shoes.

All the shoes.

I still remember my first pair of tennis shoes, high-stepping into elementary school just hoping somebody would notice them. That same energy never really left.

I’ve noticed y’all like my shoes too. The comments always find their way there, and most times, the ones I’m wearing are from my personal stash or old pairs I’ve had forever. I get asked all the time, “When are you gonna sell shoes ?”

The first time we ever offered shoes was when we dropped the mink slides, and for whatever reason, we never went back.

Life, timing, manufacturing… you name it. But I’ve always known I wanted to bring that moment back around when it felt right.

Now, full disclosure, behind the scenes, I’ve been having a time with manufacturers. Like, a time. My old manufacturer completely threw off my Black Friday rollout, so I decided to take a quick trip to Nashville for a trade show, hoping to find someone who could help me get new pieces produced fast for the season. And y’all… there was no one there. No real manufacturers, just wholesalers. And while TD loves a good wholesale partner, the quality just wasn’t there.

But here’s where the story turns.

Somewhere between disappointment and “why did I even fly out here,” I stumbled upon a shoe factory that stopped me in my tracks. I spotted these clogs and immediately thought, “My girls would love these.”

(And yes, I know y’all are grown as hell, but when I’m buying, merchandising, or designing, I call y’all my girls. It’s a term of endearment 🥰) 

Anyway, back to the clogs.

I was honestly impressed, like, for real impressed. The vegan leather felt incredible, and that’s saying something coming from someone who usually swears by real leather for shoes.

The craftsmanship, the stitching, the cushion insole, all on point. And let’s not skip over comfort, because I do not do the “20-year-old in the club, feet hurting” game. Not at this age.

These clogs check every box: comfort, quality, and versatility. They’re truly an all-weather shoe.

Fall and winter? Throw on your jeans and a chunky sock.

Spring and summer? Pair them with a skirt or romper.

Either way, you’re good.

Although I’m still a little annoyed about that trade show, it worked out.

I finally have a shoe for y’all…so the next time you ask, “When will you sell shoes?” I’ve got an answer. Most sizes have already sold out, which is wild, but this is just the beginning. There’s definitely more to come.
